How to shape you eyebrows

Hey everyone! I had some requests on how to shape your eyebrows, so I have been letting mine grow for about 3 weeks. If you've lost your shape and just can't get them to look right, let them grow ideally for about a month, then you are ready to get a fresh start :)
We all have different shapes of eyebrows so this is a very general idea of how to shape them, try to follow the instructions on applying the right shape to your own brows.

1. You are going to need tweezers, a razor blade, a little bit of moisturizer, and a ruler. Apply the moisturizer all over your eyebrow area, this will help plucking out the hairs easily and helps with the pain. You can also numb the brow area with ice if it is too painful for you. Let the moisturizer sit for 2-3 min before plucking. Then take it off. Place the ruler in the inner corner of your eye and anything that is outside of the ruler should be... GONE!

2. Draw a line with any eyebrow or eye pencil in the inside of the brow following your natural arch. Pluck any hair on and below the line. Place the ruler at the tip of your nose and make sure it passes through the corner of your eye. Your eyebrow should end where the ruler meets the eyebrow. Your brow shouldn't be any longer or shorter than that.

3. I like doing the upper part of the brow with a razor blade. You know, in order to prevent accidents, like when you pluck a hair or two where you shouldn't had and you get a huge hole in the middle of the brow!! Yeah, that's awful. If you use a razor that won't ever happen!  I do this by shaving the brows in a ^ shape with the blade. Make sure you place the blade completely straight on each side of the Point of Arch. (Look at the picture on the left).

And wallah! You are done!  After all this it is really easy to keep up your shape, just pluck your little brow hairs that will come out and make sure to not get any of the long ones or that will change your shape. I usually shape my brows only once or twice a year. I try to keep the shape for as long as I can. You can also apply some color like I did in the last picture, but that is just personal taste. Have fun doing these :)

I always apply my foundation after I am done doing my eyes, because you get a lot of eyeshadow under the eye, so I clean it and then apply the foundation.
1. Apply the concealer in the areas shown above (make sure you have a yellow based).

2. Using your finger blend the concealer, then using the sponge apply your liquid foundation all over the areas where you didn't apply the concealer. Make sure you blend them together very well.

  3. WARNING! Apply your foundation all the way down to your neck! The WORSE thing that you can do is show a foundation jaw line on the edges of your face!!

4. Using the mineral foundation brush apply a fair amount of either mineral or compact foundation and apply it all over your face in circle motions. And that's it! Then just apply your regular blush and gloss.

one more halloween look!

I couldn't resist! I had to post this new look that I learned how to do today, it looks awesome from up close cause you can actually see the stitches, I use potty for this look, it is not too hard to do, but you need to have the right tools to make it look the way you want. Great for Halloween, even for a Frankenstein look with stitches in the forehead :)

3 basic eye brushes

3 BASIC EYE BRUSHES
If you are just getting started with your make up kit and don't know exactly what kind of brushes you need, this will be really helpfull! Brushes can be a little expensive, considering that you need some for the eyes, eyebrows, cheeks, face, etc... but the good news is that you don't have to get them all in the department store make up counters! But I will recommend you the ones that you should buy there.
The eye is such an important feature, so if you are planning on spending money on brushes, this is it! These are the ones that need to be of the highest quality and there are 3 brush types I recommend.
Definition/Angle brush: As you can see in the eye picture the darker area was defined by this brush, because of the angle tip it is so easy to trace the line where you want the eye shadow to go, yes! Even for beginners.
Blending brush: My favorite! this will give the magic-professional touch to your eyes, it will blend the darker color into the highlight making your eye look sophisticated.
Hightlight/Small Blending brush: This will give the final touch, enhancing your eyebrow bone area and make your eyes pop out even more!
My favorite 3 brush brands are the ones in the pics which are: angle-Chanel, blending-MAC, highlight-Bobbi Brown.
The real trick about a make up artist is in the brush! So if you want to have your make up routine jump to a new level, new brushes are a MUST!

Halloween spooky make up

Here is another idea for this upcoming halloween! I am taking a tv/film make up class at BYU and I have been learning some cool tricks to do scary make up! If you are not sure what to wear this halloween, go for the make up option, then you can just dress all black and pull out a great spooky make up. The products are from Ben Nye and you can get them at the halloween stores that are all over the place , here in utah you can also find them in taylor maid. Have fun!
